Worker shoes are an upgrade for GLA workers in Zero Hour, which increased their overall effectiveness by 10% by giving them shoes, meaning that they build 10% faster, walk 10% faster and collect 10% more.
Note that workers take $75 from supply depots, but deliver $83 after the upgrade.

Originally intended to be included in vanilla Generals, the many changes to the GLA just before release meant that the upgrade was left out.[1]
