Spraying!

Toxin Network is Dr. Thrax's version of the Tunnel Network. Instead of using a gun the Toxin Networks were protected by a toxin-spraying turrets, providing very effective protection against infantry.

Tactics[]

Like the Tunnel Network entrances could be constructed anywhere that a GLA Worker could access, and allowed for the extremely rapid movement of units from one place to another, underground. Units were also repaired while inside the network. Two RPG Troopers were dispatched from inside the network to guard it when an entrance was constructed.

The Toxin Network is far more effective at removing enemies within its line of sight, capable of destroying Humvee's and personal carriers and even doing serious damage to some tanks with the Anthrax Gamma Upgrade. However just like the original tunnel network it is vulnerable to long range artillery, aircraft and overwhelming armored assaults.

As with all GLA structures, if it was destroyed a GLA Hole would remain. If that was not dealt with, a worker would emerge and rebuild the structure at no additional cost to the GLA General, however no RPG Troopers would emerge anymore .

Counters[]

The USA and China could deploy Aircraft such as MiGs and Raptors to destroy the networks, assuming that the RPG Troopers had been neutralized, this was somewhat risky however, as the GLA could deploy anti-air units from the network at any time. Additionally, savvy USA generals could deploy an Ambulance to distract the network's toxin based weapon, which would fire upon it with no effect, thus allowing other units to approach and destroy it. GLA generals could do the same with a Toxin Tractor, since the tractors were also immune to the toxins. Unless the commander orders the network to attack other units, it will simply give the tractor a bath.

Upgrades[]

Anthrax Gamma Increased the attack damage of Toxin Network by 25%. Purchasable at Dr.Thrax's Palace for a cost of $2500.

Trivia[]

General Mohmar "Deathstrike" was rumored to have access to the Toxin Network, which could also be fitted with Camo-Netting, but the idea obviously didn't fit into game as Deathstrike is not playable in Skirmish/GC maps.
