Developed by GDI during the Second Tiberium War, railgun technology offers numerous advantages over the standard cannons found on most main battle tanks.
Description[]
This upgrade replaces the cannons of the Predator tank and the Mammoth tank with railguns, which deal more damage and are more effective against infantry.
In Kane's Wrath, this upgrade also replaces the cannons of the Titan, the Guardian cannon, and the Battle Base.
Despite having a different description from the GDI Tech Center and Steel Talons Tech Center, the two Railgun upgrades are one upgrade. Researching Railguns for Steel Talons affects GDI Predator Tanks as well and vice versa. However, ZOCOM Predator and Mammoth Tanks will neither obtain the upgrade from a GDI nor Steel Talons Tech Center, rendering the upgrade inaccessible to ZOCOM units.
