The Ironside was a large experimental aircraft created by GDI. Intended to be a troop transport, it was essentially a flying wing, much like 20th century American B-2 Spirit bombers. A prototype was being field tested in Blue Zone 8 (Chile), in the same sector as Dr. Alphonse Giraud was located.
The Ironside was destroyed by a Black Hand strike force sent to capture Giraud, thus abruptly and prematurely terminating the project.

- The aircraft is likely named for actor Michael Ironside, who played the role of General Jack Granger in Tiberium Wars.
- The Ironside looks similar to the Vertigo bombers in Tiberian Twilight.
- A transport aircraft named Ironside transport was going to appear in the cancelled TIBERIUM. It is unknown if the two are related.
